Characteristics of DUAL CLIMA R Air Source Energy Fusion hybrid oil
Hybrid heat pumps consist of an outdoor unit which uses energy in the air to heat or cool water. It is then transferred to an indoor unit consisting of a domestic hot water accumulator, heating/cooling back-up buffer and a diesel or gas back-up generator. This indoor unit is also equipped with a complete and compact hydraulic unit to save space in the home and guarantee full comfort, regardless of outdoor weather conditions.
Advantages DUAL CLIMA R Air Source Energy Fusion hybrid oil
Installation savings
The hybrid solution makes it possible to adjust the temperature of the water flow to the installation up to 80ºC so existing radiators do not have to be removed, thereby preventing costly renovation work. The indoor module includes all the components needed to replace the current boiler quickly and easily by using the elements of the previous installation (fuel tank, chimney stack, etc.) or by making simple changes.
The indoor unit contains all the important components of the installation, so the space required inside the home is reduced.
Electrcity contract savings
The electric power of the outdoor unit can be adjusted to lower levels than would be needed for a traditional air source heat pump, since the traditional back-up generator can be operated during peak consumption times.
This avoids having to contract a high level of electric power throughout the year or having to use supplementary electrical resistors, which are more expensive than integrated back-up power.
Comfort guaranteed
The Domusa Teknik hybrid solution ensures that the temperature inside the home is always what it should be, regardless of the extreme temperatures that may occur in the winter season.
As outdoor temperatures drop, the efficiency and performance of air source heating units decrease. This is when the back-up generator cuts in, thereby improving performance and maintaining the desired temperature in the home. When outdoor temperatures are extremely low and air source performance is less efficient than that of the back-up generator, the generator runs alone to keep the temperature at the level of comfort required at all times.
Lower consumption
The hybrid heat pump makes the most of air source energy, using it alone when outdoor weather conditions allow to generate heat or cold or to heat domestic water.
The back-up generator starts running when the weather conditions worsen and the air source unit alone cannot maintain the level of warmth required.
Hybrid heat pumps can save as much as 70% in energy consumption, compared to the energy costs of the traditional boilers they replace.
High DHW production
The indoor unit contains a 125-litre tank that is heated by the outdoor unit to 50ºC. The user can raise the accumulation temperature to 65ºC by using the back-up generator.
Moreover, in summer, when the outdoor unit is generating cold air, the back-up generator can be used solely to heat the domestic hot water accumulator, thus preventing cooling from being interrupted and maintaining a cool environment at all times.
Monoblock system
MONOBLOCK technology uses hydraulic connections exclusively, so the outdoor unit can be installed at the necessary distance.
The outdoor unit is equipped with a gas/water exchanger so there is no need to manipulate the cooling circuit during installation. The outdoor and indoor units are connected hydraulically, making installation easier and enabling greater distances between the two than if cooling gas is used as the heat conveyor.
